Director of Delta BSC Consulting, a regional strategy and technology consulting firm. Delta BSC Consulting is one of more than 5,000 companies incorporated through which I co-designed and implemented with a group of colleagues working on the simplification of the procedures required to start and operate businesses in Honduras.
As a result, in 2016, Honduras became the 3rd country in Latin America, after Chile and Colombia, to offer business registration through standardized contracts, reducing costs by making lawyers optional, while improving the protection of investors' rights.
That same year I joined company developing high-quality, low-cost residential communities throughout Latin America. As Advisor to the President, I manage negotiations and collaborations with private financial institutions and government housing programs for a residential community in Honduras home to over 1,500 families.
A decade before that, I was the Technical Director for Regulatory Simplification at the National Competitiveness Program, contributing to improve the country's ranking in the Doing Business Report in over 50 positions. Positive reforms in Property Registration and Environmental Licensing led to Honduras being acknowledged as a Top Reformer in Latin America by the World Bank and Best in Class for the "Burden of Government Regulations" sub-indicator in the WEF Global Competitiveness Report.
Along these last 25 years I've helped over a dozen Latin American organizations implement the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), a management system developed at Harvard Business School, and the Delta Model, a strategy framework developed at the MIT Sloan School of Management, studying under their creators, respectively, Dr. Robert S. Kaplan and David P. Norton, and Dr. Arnoldo Hax.
My continuous involvement with the approach to management and communication, developed by and his colleagues, initially at Stanford and UC Berkeley, and after that through different technology and consulting enterprises, began with a workshop in the Bay Area in 1997 at Action Technologies, just after graduate studies in Computer Science at TEC de Monterrey.
I am currently rediscovering my passion for Business Process Management (BPM) through a development engagement using Bonitasoft's Open Source BPM, after obtaining a certification in Application Development at their HQ in Grenoble, France.
